About Mullinahinch House

Since it was established in 2003, Mullinahinch House Private Nursing Home has been effectively maintained and upgraded through a series of major improvement works. These have been designed to enable us to deliver the highest standards of residential amenity, service, and care.

One of the things that makes Mullinahinch House work as well as it does is that our team is very settled. We treat our staff well, as we believe that when our staff are content in their work, they give of their best. So our team stays with us and get to know our residents very well, including their individual likes and dislikes. Many of our team have been with us for more than 10 years.

Bedrooms

All our bedrooms are spacious and well appointed. All bedrooms have a television, 24-hour nurse call system and telephone and internet connections. Free Wi-Fi is available in the house.

We encourage our residents to personalise their room with photographs and other items that make it feel like their home.

Mullinahinch House has 36 single rooms, and 5 sharing rooms where the Resident shares the room with one other Resident.

Outdoor Space

Residents have full access to over three acres of mature, landscaped grounds surrounding Mullinahinch House, which feature both formal and informal gardens, native woodland plants, shrubs, and trees, and a choice of walks with attractive countryside views.

Pastoral & Spiritual Care

Mullinahinch House Private Nursing Home respects all religious denominations and caters for their spiritual needs.

An Activity room which can be converted into an Oratory for religious services and private prayer. It is also used for visits by the local parish priest to give Holy Communion and celebrate mass.

A Church of Ireland Minister calls according to the requirements to say prayers and give communion.

Arrangements are also made to cater for the spiritual needs of residents of other denominations.

Food & Nutritional Care

Our chefs and catering staff are dedicated to serving healthy, balanced, nutritious, attractive, and appetising food.

We work with each resident and their family to create a dedicated food plan for each resident, taking into account their likes and dislikes, as well as their dietary and nutritional needs.

Meals are served daily in our dining room or, if a resident so wishes, in his or her bedroom and residents can choose from varied daily menus.

All meals are prepared and cooked by qualified chefs and trained catering staff in accordance with strict food safety, in a modern, well-equipped kitchen and food preparation area.

Special diets and dietary requirements are catered for on an individual basis.

Snacks, tea, and coffee are available to residents at any time
