About Greystones Nursing Home
Greystones Nursing Home is situated on Church Road in the heart of beautiful Greystones in County Wicklow, the Garden of Ireland.
This historic building was originally owned by the Bewley family and subsequently operated as a hotel, before being transformed into a Nursing Home over 20 years ago. With the benefit of recent refurbishment, it is designed to enable us to deliver the highest standards of residential amenity, service, and care.
One of the things that makes Greystones Nursing Home work as well as it does is that our team is very settled. We believe that when we treat our staff well, and they are content in their work, they give of their best, to the benefit of our residents. Our team stay with us and get to know our residents very well, including their individual likes and dislikes. Many of our team have been with us for more than 10 years.

Bedrooms
Our bedrooms are split into two units. In the Main House, we have 18 single and 3 double rooms; while in Seapatrick we have 20 single and 7 double rooms. The maximum number of Residents that can be accommodated in Greystones Nursing Home is 58.
All bedrooms are spacious and well appointed, each with a television, 24-hour nurse call system, two chairs , overbed table, telephone and internet connections. We encourage residents to personalise their rooms.
All bathrooms are disabled-friendly including handrails and shower chains.
Free Wi-Fi is available in both the Main house and Seapatrick wing.
Outdoor Space & Parking
Our residents have full access to mature, landscaped grounds surrounding Greystones Nursing home, including a patio space where our residents like to sit out.
These grounds feature both formal and informal gardens, native woodland plants, shrubs and trees, and a choice of walks with attractive countryside views.
Plenty of short stay car parking spaces are available for visitors in the nursing home grounds. Long stay parking places are also available.
Pastoral & Spiritual Care
Greystones Nursing Home respects all religious denominations and caters for their spiritual needs.
We have Communion on a weekly basis and mass once per month in the home. Our residents also like to watch mass on TV and on their laptops/tablets. We also have a Prayer Group that meets regularly.
A Church of Ireland Minister calls according to the requirements to say prayers and give communion.
Arrangements are also made to cater for the spiritual needs of residents of other denominations.
Food & Nutritional Care
Our chefs and catering staff are dedicated to serving healthy, balanced, nutritious, attractive, and appetising food.
- Meals are served daily in our dining room or, if a resident so wishes, in his or her bedroom
- Residents can choose from varied daily menus
- All meals are prepared and cooked by our experienced chefs and trained catering staff in accordance with strict food safety, in a modern, well-equipped kitchen and food preparation area
- Special diets and dietary requirements are catered for on an individual basis
- Snacks, tea, and coffee are available to residents at any time

At Greystones Nursing Home we take our activities very seriously, because our experience is that those who stay socially connected as they age do better, both in and out of nursing homes.
We have two full-time Activities Co-coordinators (Róisín and Sinju, with us for 9 years) who organise our weekly activities and entertainment programme 7 days a week.
The Activity Team regularly meets with the residents to seek their views and comments on day-to-day activities in the home.
We have live music every Thursday.
