Karen McElherron of Evergreen Care talks to Midlands103 radio station about Esker Rí joining the Evergreen family and the importance of building up a 'Health Pension'
Following Esker Rí Nursing Home’s recent decision to join the Evergreen family of nursing homes, Evergreen Care’s Regional Operations Manager, Karen McElherron, spoke to Midlands Radio about what impact this is likely to have on residents, their families and our staff.
In addtion, she talked about the importance of building up a ‘Health Pension’ just as you would a financial pension and the importance of social connectivity in achieving this. Karen’s experience is that those that stay connected socially do better in older age, whether within a nursing home or not.
