Across the Evergreen Care group, we celebrated International Women's Day on Wednesday with Coffee Mornings across our homes.
International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. As a group of ten nursing homes, women play an enormous role in our organisation – occupying senior positions in management and service delivery across the individual homes and at group level.
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day was Embracing Equity, which is something that is hugely important to us, particularly as we have such a wide range of nationalities and diverse customs at play across our 900-strong team.
Each of our homes marked the day with a coffee morning where our hardworking female staff could just relax with a coffee and a pastry and catch up with each other. Each did it in their own way, with Castlebridge Manor doing a nail salon for female residents as well!
We also, as a group, made a donation to one of the International Women’s Day-backed charities. If you would like to contribute yourself, you can do so on this link
